I will say the horse riding and most horse-related systems was quite good, way better than in the first game (where horses felt like and were treated as mere vehicles). or it just controlled well and had good all-around combat, like a more grounded, western Max Payne 3.all felt like they took into account the slow/clunky/'weighty' movement, aiming, weapon selection, and so on was consistent with all of its systems, and stuff like mission design (no mission failures for every little thing), enemy A.I., enemy aiming, the wanted system, etc.I would've probably loved the game if it either All that still made for a game that was enjoyable for me, but the mission design only made the core control issues more apparent. There's a lot that's impressive for sure, and there's a lot in the game that's enjoyable for the work+money that went into it (clothing, customisation of clothes and weapons, physics, sound, feedback of weapon firing, general scenery and atmosphere, etc.). After playing through RDR2 and doing most everything in the game, it genuinely doesn't feel like the core, most prominent gameplay mechanics were a priority (on-foot movement, aiming, taking cover).
